Two Fulfilled Predictions of the Supreme Leader in the Early Days of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” Epic

In his first speech three days after the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution explained the main causes of the event, held the Zionist regime responsible, and made two predictions — both of which later came true.

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, The “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation took place on October 7, 2023 (15 Mehr 1402), and on October 10, in a graduation ceremony for the cadets of Iran’s Armed Forces universities, Imam Khamenei delivered his first official reaction to this brave move by the Palestinian resistance groups.

He described the event as a “heroic epic,” emphasizing that intelligent planners and courageous Palestinian youth, with faith and sacrifice, had taken a great step toward the liberation of Palestine. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution held the Zionist regime responsible for the eruption of the Al-Aqsa Storm, explaining that the oppression, crimes, and savagery of this regime against the defenseless people of Palestine were themselves the cause of such a reaction. Referring to Palestine’s bloody history, he stated that no Islamic nation in the modern era has ever faced such an evil, cruel, and shameless enemy.

Imam Khamenei also criticized the United States, the United Kingdom, and other Western governments for their unrelenting support of the illegitimate and oppressive Zionist regime, stressing that these powers have been its main backers since its creation. In his first prediction, the Leader warned that Israel’s “self-victimization” narrative was a blatant lie and merely a pretext to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people, since a regime that besieges and murders others cannot claim to be a victim.

He noted that Israel uses this false narrative to justify its massacres in Gaza, including the killing of women and children. Over the past two years, as he predicted, the world has witnessed the slaughter of tens of thousands of Gazans by the Zionist army—events that have awakened global public opinion.

The Leader’s second prediction has also come true: he stated that the more Israel commits atrocities, the stronger and more determined the Palestinian fighters will become. Israel’s inability to destroy the resistance, the continued success of Palestinian operations, and its forced acceptance of Hamas’s conditions for negotiations all confirm this. He stressed that such reactions are the natural consequence of decades of Zionist crimes and warned the regime’s leaders that further oppression will only bring heavier blows upon them.

He also rejected the claims of Iran’s involvement in the planning of the Al-Aqsa Storm, asserting that the operation was entirely Palestinian—born of the will and wisdom of the local resistance forces. Nevertheless, he reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Palestinian resistance, honors its brave youth, and believes that the entire Islamic world must stand by them and never remain silent in the face of Israeli crimes.
