Ministry of Interior: The city and village council elections will be held electronically.
The head of the Iranian Space Agency said that among more than 200 countries in the world, only about 10 percent possess the full capability to build and launch satellites, and Iran is among those countries.

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, Abuzar Kowsari, Director General of the Political Office at the Ministry of Interior, stated that six terms of city and village council elections have already been held with full public participation, and the seventh term is scheduled for May next year.
He added that Ardabil province has taken the lead in organizing training workshops for governors and political directors of the northwestern provinces, and today, with officials from East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, and Ardabil present, a workshop is being conducted to familiarize participants with the new laws and regulations for fully electronic elections.
The Director General emphasized that both voter identity verification and the voting process are expected to be conducted on an intelligent, fully electronic system, facilitating the rapid announcement of city and village council election results.
Kowsari noted the special importance of this election cycle, as political parties and groups have already begun their activities to ensure a successful election. He expressed hope that, with cooperation from the Islamic Consultative Assembly and adherence to legal procedures, a well-organized election will take place, allowing the selection of the most qualified candidates for local councils.
He concluded by highlighting that in Iran’s religious democratic system, the framework for public participation in determining the country’s future is well established, and efforts will be made to hold a secure, competitive election with high voter turnout in May next year.
