An unprecedented call by more than 460 prominent Jews to boycott the Zionist regime.
In an unprecedented move, more than 460 prominent Jewish figures from around the world have signed an open letter to the United Nations, calling for the immediate boycott of Israel over its "genocide in Gaza."

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, In an unprecedented move highlighting deep divisions within the global Jewish community over Israel’s policies, more than 460 prominent Jewish figures from 20 countries signed an open letter calling for the immediate boycott of Israel over “genocide” and “flagrant violations of international law” in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
According to The Guardian, the letter, titled “No to Genocide, No to Occupation,” was addressed to the United Nations and world leaders, emphasizing the need for accountability after decades of repeated international law violations by Tel Aviv.
Signatories include well-known figures from politics, arts, and academia, such as Abraham Burg, Daniel Levy, Naomi Klein, Jonathan Glazer, Wallace Shawn, Ilana Glazer, Hannah Einbinder, Benjamin Moser, Ilan Volkov, and Omri Boehm. The broad list reflects growing solidarity among Jewish elites with the Palestinian people.
The letter states that Israel’s actions in Gaza—including attacks on civilians, hospitals, and essential infrastructure—constitute clear “war crimes” and “genocide,” noting that available evidence aligns with the legal definition of genocide.
It also highlights escalating settler violence in the West Bank, which has injured over 3,200 Palestinians this year, while only three percent of perpetrators have been prosecuted.
Key demands include targeted sanctions, such as halting arms shipments, economic penalties, and supporting judicial proceedings against Israeli leaders in international courts. The letter also calls for a lasting ceasefire, an end to occupation, and guaranteed humanitarian aid via the United Nations.
Signatories reject accusations of antisemitism, affirming that defending Palestinian rights is not a betrayal of Judaism but the fulfillment of its ethical teachings. The letter states: “When our sages said the destruction of one life is the destruction of a world, they made no exception for Palestinians.”
The letter comes amid the ongoing Gaza war, which since October 7, 2023, has killed over 65,000 and injured 167,000, displacing 90 percent of Gaza’s population. The recent ceasefire has been violated, and over 80 Palestinians have been killed in just the past 11 days.
