The process of elections for the Islamic City Councils has begun by order of the Minister of Interior

The Minister of Interior has issued a directive to governors across the country to commence the process of elections for the Islamic City Councils.

🔹 Dr. Momeni, the Minister of Interior, in a directive to all governors, emphasized that in accordance with Article 60 of the Law on the Organization, Duties, and Elections of the Islamic Councils of the Country and the Election of Mayors and Village Heads, and Article 65 of its Executive Regulations, the legal procedures for the 7th term elections of the Islamic City Councils will begin today, Thursday 27/09/1404 (Persian calendar).

🔹 According to the Minister’s directive, registration of candidates for this election term will start on Sunday 21/10/1404 and continue for 7 days until the end of Saturday 27/10/1404.

🔹 Furthermore, in accordance with the directive, county executive boards must be formed from Friday 28/09/1404 for five days, and main and alternate trusted members must be selected.

🔹 The 7th term elections for the Islamic City Councils will be held nationwide on Friday, 11 Ordibehesht 1405 (Persian calendar).
