The Foundation of Lasting Victory

✍️ Mujahid al-Suraymi — Sana’a

In the Yemen of revolution and struggle, no free and honorable person disagrees that the current stage can no longer tolerate more mistakes, shortcomings, or imbalances. This reality compels everyone to strive toward correcting their errors, identifying the negative aspects that have accompanied their actions, and recognizing the points of weakness in every field of responsibility, so that we may overcome all difficulties on our path to salvation and fulfill the hopes and aspirations born from the blood of sacrifice.

Let us, above all, fear God in what we say and write, for this cause is not the affair of a single individual or party to whom we owe blind loyalty in right or wrong. Rather, it is the cause of an entire nation — a matter of its faith, message, existence, and destiny. Therefore, we must avoid favoritism, bias, and personal allegiances.

If we are sensitive to hearing our flaws and errors exposed by others, why not expose them ourselves — and thus avoid repeating them, reforming both ourselves and our reality?

That is what must be done. Otherwise, God’s anger and wrath will descend upon us, and we shall suffer the consequences of our negligence before facing those of our enemies. After all, our revolution is the offspring of the divine movement led by all prophets and messengers (peace be upon them) — the essence of the revolutionary and reformist course championed by the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt and the Guides of truth, and the fruit of the convergence of two rivers of sacrifice — the blood of Hussein of Karbala and Hussein of Marran.

Thus, this revolution — rooted in faith in God — is destined for victory, perpetuity, and creative continuity, as long as it seeks God’s satisfaction as its ultimate goal, and as long as His teachings, verses, and divine attributes remain its guiding principles and values. Whenever those who work for this cause internalize that awareness with commitment and sincerity, their community and nation will attain justice, knowledge, strength, and mercy. Unity, humility, cooperation, and social harmony will flourish in their hands — the very qualities that define a truly Qur’anic, revolutionary, and righteous movement.

It was through this purpose that our revolution triumphed, for among our fighters were men whose greatest desire was God’s pleasure, and by their faith they opened wider horizons before the revolution and its people, inspiring the masses with renewed determination to pursue freedom and independence.

All the achievements we have witnessed — especially military ones — are the natural outcome of the devotion and persistence of faithful men who, whenever the road narrowed before them, discovered new ways and continued forward in pursuit of greater progress.

Finally, it is unworthy of us to ignore sincere advice, reject criticism, or grow arrogant in the face of our errors and shortcomings. Not every critic is sincere, but that does not mean that the field of criticism is devoid of honest and faithful individuals who speak out of love for their religion, their nation, and their revolution.
We should, in fact, welcome constructive criticism, nurture it, and make it a defining trait of our society. For only through it can we ensure that our people will never again fall into the traps of dependency or submission, and that our movement toward a strong, cohesive, and independent civilization continues — no matter the challenges we face.
