Araghchi: Nuclear materials remain buried under the rubble; we cannot halt enrichment

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Al Jazeera, responded to the Zionist regime’s threats by emphasizing that Iran is prepared for any possible scenario and expects hostile actions from Israel. He stated that the Israeli regime could not have attacked Iran without the green light from the United States, describing Benjamin Netanyahu as a “war criminal” who has proven that Israel is the true enemy of the region.

Regarding the nuclear talks, Araghchi said Iran is ready to negotiate to address concerns about its peaceful nuclear program and believes that achieving a fair agreement is possible; however, he noted that Washington has presented unacceptable conditions that hinder progress. He reaffirmed that Iran’s missile program is non-negotiable, stressing that “no rational nation would accept voluntary disarmament,” as the country’s defense capabilities are not up for compromise.

Araghchi further emphasized that Iran cannot halt uranium enrichment, adding, “What could not be taken through war will not be given through politics.” Commenting on the state of Iran’s nuclear materials, he said they remain buried under the rubble of bombed nuclear facilities and have not been moved elsewhere. The foreign minister also condemned Israel’s attacks on Syria, reaffirming Iran’s support for Syria’s independence and territorial integrity.
