Examining the Details and Objectives of the U.S. Airstrike on Caracas

According to Sedaye Sama’s correspondent based in Caracas,

Coinciding with the anniversary of the U.S. drone strike on Baghdad International Airport and the cowardly assassination of Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis at 1:00 a.m. on January 3, 2020, the United States also carried out an attack against Venezuela.

According to the report, the situation in Venezuela is currently calm, and daily life continues as normal. It appears that the primary objective of the United States is to instill fear and psychological pressure rather than to initiate a large-scale military confrontation.

Some analyses suggest that the ultimate target of these attacks could be Venezuela’s presidential palace, as the United States did not directly strike the presidential building but instead targeted military commanders. This approach may be intended to weaken the country’s defensive structure and pave the way for a potential ground infiltration into key sovereign centers.
