According to the Seday-e Sama News Agency, Eslami Bidgoli, a member of the INNOX 2027 Content Committee, said at a press conference for the event: “This year’s INNOX coincides with the 60th anniversary of the country’s capital market. The activities of the capital market began on February 4, 1968 (15 Bahman 1346 in the Iranian calendar), with trading in Bank-e Sanat-o-Madan (Bank of Industry and Mining). At that time, eight companies had been admitted to the market. Today, as we speak, numerous securities and financial instruments are traded on the country’s stock exchange and financial markets, and the market has undergone significant development over these years.”

He added: “This is the main reason behind the INNOX 2027 event. Although this subject falls within the scope of the capital market, INNOX has addressed issues related to all financial markets throughout its history. Therefore, naturally, various topics will be discussed within the main themes of the conference, which will be presented to colleagues and about which broader information has already been disseminated. We will also have numerous panels and presentations.”

Eslami Bidgoli said: “Over the past years, with the guidance of the experts on the committee, efforts have been made to ensure that this event is not merely a gathering for market participants and policymakers, but also contributes, from a content perspective, to improving the quality of material produced in the country’s financial-market environment. I believe the event has achieved this goal to a considerable extent.”

He stated: “INNOX 2027 will be among the events that will likely, as in previous years, receive considerable attention from financial-market managers and participants. In previous years, INNOX events genuinely provided an opportunity to focus on the details of what takes place during the event, as well as the informal and friendly discussions that emerge behind these gatherings.”

Eslami Bidgoli added: “In my view, INNOX has always been an event welcomed by market managers and participants. At least as someone active in the capital market, I knew that this was one of the important events and that attending it was significant for managers. I believe that the presence of the capital market and the stock exchange has in fact remained prominent throughout all these years.”

INNOX’s Focus on the Global Macroeconomy and Iran’s Geopolitical Issues

The member of the INNOX 2027 Content Committee emphasized: “Our approach over the past years has been to always pay attention to the broader issues of the global macroeconomy, because every economy is ultimately affected by developments in the global economy. In previous years, particularly last year, Iran’s geopolitical issues were also among the main themes of our discussions.”

“Several of last year’s most well-attended sessions were related to this issue. This was because last year even non-economic participants, particularly those specializing in political and regional studies, attended these sessions, making them among the most engaging sessions of the year. Naturally, after that, we turned to Iran’s economic issues and then, specifically, addressed the issues of various markets in many specialized sessions.”

Artificial Intelligence Has Become One of INNOX’s Major Themes

Referring to INNOX’s particular attention to technological issues in recent years, he said: “We have also paid special attention to technological issues over the past years. I believe that, particularly since 2020, with the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence, this subject can no longer be ignored.”

The INNOX 2027 Content Committee member added: “Even today, as we are speaking, artificial intelligence has developed to a far greater extent than last year, to the point that many of us have effectively become dependent on it in our personal lives and, particularly, in our research activities.”

Eslami Bidgoli emphasized: “Artificial intelligence has become one of those technologies that perhaps, a few years from now, we will not be able to live without, much like mobile phones and telephones. Given the applications being developed and the prominent role these technologies play in our lives, they will rapidly make all aspects of our lives increasingly dependent on them.”

Budget, Inflation, Economic Growth and Employment among INNOX 2027’s Main Themes

Regarding the economic themes of INNOX 2027, he said: “Iran’s economy and budgetary issues will be among the subjects receiving attention, particularly given that INNOX 2027 will be held in the middle of winter and close to the beginning of the new year. In some cases, budget discussions may continue until that period.”

Eslami Bidgoli added: “Iran’s inflation, which is currently a source of concern for many of the country’s economic actors, researchers and economists, as well as the growth rate and employment—an issue that represents a serious challenge for Iran’s economy—are among the themes we will seek to address through sessions at the macroeconomic level. Naturally, after that, we will move on to the various market sectors.”
