The final results of the sixth post-Saddam parliamentary elections

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission announced the final results of the sixth post-Saddam parliamentary elections.

The Commission stated that political coalitions may submit objections regarding the final parliamentary election results.

Baghdad Electoral District – the capital of Iraq

Voter turnout in Baghdad was over 48%.

  • The Reconstruction and Development Coalition, led by Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, won 15 seats.

  • The Taqaddum Party, led by Mohammed Al-Halbousi, secured 10 seats.

  • The Strong State Coalition, led by Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, obtained 5 seats.

Final parliamentary election results in Najaf Province

  • Reconstruction and Development Coalition led by Al-Sudani: 2 seats

  • Strong National State Coalition led by Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim: 2 seats

  • State of Law Coalition led by Nouri Al-Maliki: 2 seats

Final parliamentary election results in Al-Muthanna Province

  • Reconstruction and Development Coalition led by Al-Sudani: 2 seats

  • State of Law Coalition led by Al-Maliki: 2 seats

  • Al-Sadiqoon Movement led by Al-Khazali: 1 seat

Final parliamentary election results in Al-Qadisiyyah Province

  • Reconstruction and Development Coalition led by Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani: 3 seats

  • State of Law Coalition led by Nouri Al-Maliki: 2 seats

  • Badr Organization led by Hadi Al-Amiri: 2 seats
