Popular Mobilization Forces: More Than 4 Million Gather in Karbala

According to Sedaye Sama News, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF/Hashd al-Shaabi) said in a statement that public participation in the farewell ceremony for what it described as the body of the “martyred leader of the nation” has reached an unprecedented scale. The statement added that large crowds had begun arriving in Karbala even before the official start of the ceremony.

According to the statement’s preliminary estimates, the number of participants in the funeral procession in Karbala has now exceeded 4 million people.
