Putin: Israel has said it is not interested in a conflict with Iran.
The President of Russia said today, Thursday, that the leaders of Israel have asked us to convey to our Iranian friends that Israel seeks to resolve issues and avoid any confrontation.

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, said today, Thursday, that Israel has informed Moscow through secret channels that it is not seeking a conflict with Iran and prefers to resolve issues through dialogue.
Putin, speaking at the “Russia – Central Asia” summit, emphasized that Iran’s nuclear issue can only be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue. He added that Moscow is in close contact with its Iranian partners, and Iran is ready to follow agreed-upon solutions and resume constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Russian president also stated that Israeli leaders have asked Moscow to convey to their Iranian friends that Israel seeks to resolve issues and avoid any confrontation, reflecting efforts by both sides to reduce tensions and prevent escalation.
The 12-day war between Iran and Israel, which began on 23 Khordad 1404 (June 13, 2025) with surprise Israeli airstrikes on nuclear facilities, military bases, and residential areas in Iran, was one of the most intense direct clashes between the two sides. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks under “Operation Promised Truth 3.”
The conflict eventually ended with U.S. mediation and the announcement of a ceasefire by Donald Trump on 2 Tir 1404 (June 23, 2025). Israel had aimed primarily to destroy Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, but Iran’s response inflicted significant damage on the Israeli regime.
