An increase of 4,300 barrels in the country’s daily oil production
With the launch of a new well in the South Azadegan joint field, the daily production capacity of this field — and consequently the country’s total oil output — has increased by 4,300 barrels per day.

According to the Sedaye Sama News Agency, Hamid Reza Saghafi, CEO of the Petropars Group, stated that with the commissioning of the new well, the total number of producing wells in the South Azadegan oil field development project has reached 38, and the daily production capacity has increased to 66,200 barrels per day.
He added that the recent increase in production at the South Azadegan field — amounting to 4,300 barrels per day — is the result of unity, solidarity, and the tireless efforts of Iranian experts.
Furthermore, Ebrahim Nari, the project manager for the development of the South Azadegan joint oil field at Petropars Group, explained the technical details of the operation, saying:
“The Fahlyan Well No. 174/Bed 59 was successfully brought on stream, and its produced oil is transferred via a 6-inch, 2,430-meter pipeline to Manifold No. 8.”
He continued:
“This operation was carried out entirely using domestic capabilities and Iran-made equipment, playing a key role in enhancing production capacity and ensuring oil flow stability. The precise coordination among Petropars’ engineering, drilling, and production teams made it possible to complete the process with high quality and in the shortest possible time.”
