969 violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement by the occupying forces

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday, in a statement, that the occupying forces have continued to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement despite the passage of 80 days since its implementation. A total of 969 violations have been recorded, including 298 incidents of direct gunfire against civilians, 54 cases of military vehicles entering residential areas, 455 instances of bombardment and targeting of unarmed civilians and their homes, and 162 cases of destruction of civilian houses and buildings.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, the statement noted that these systematic attacks have so far resulted in the martyrdom of 418 Palestinian civilians and injuries to 1,141 others, in addition to the illegal detention of 45 individuals.

The statement further revealed that over the past 80 days, the occupying forces have allowed only 19,764 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip, whereas the number should have reached 48,000 trucks. This means that out of the 600 trucks per day stipulated in the agreement, only 253 trucks actually entered the territory, reflecting a compliance rate of just 42 percent by the occupying forces and further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The statement also indicated that 4,000 fuel trucks were supposed to enter the Gaza Strip during this period; however, only 425 trucks were allowed in. This translates to just 5 fuel trucks per day out of the agreed 50, representing only 10 percent compliance with the occupiers’ commitments.

Among other issues highlighted in the statement was the destruction of 49 war-damaged homes, which led to the martyrdom of 20 Palestinian civilians. In addition, two children have so far lost their lives due to severe cold while living in displacement tents, and more than 127,000 tents are deemed unsuitable for housing displaced persons.

The Government Media Office in Gaza emphasized the responsibility of the Israeli occupation for the continued deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and called on the international community, the United Nations, the President of the United States, the parties monitoring the implementation of the agreement, and the mediators to assume their legal and moral responsibilities toward Gaza and compel the occupying forces to fulfill their obligations.
