Head of the Iranian Space Agency: Chabahar Space Center Ready for Launch Operations

According to Sedaye Sama News, Hassan Salarieh, Head of the Iranian Space Agency, said the support, guidance, and strategic vision of the late Leader played a significant role in advancing Iran’s space industry. He identified three key factors behind this progress: strategic advocacy, policymaking, and continuous oversight.
Salarieh stressed that Iran’s space program is based on indigenous knowledge and technology, adding that recent attacks on infrastructure cannot halt its development. He said space projects are continuing with greater momentum and stronger motivation among Iranian specialists.
He also highlighted the expansion of private-sector participation in space projects, the development of satellite constellations, the construction of high-resolution satellites, and efforts to reach higher orbits with heavy-lift launch vehicles as the country’s main priorities.
The head of the Iranian Space Agency announced that the first phase of the Chabahar Space Center has been completed and that the facility is fully prepared for launch operations, with only minor technical work remaining before finalization. He added that Iran’s strategic space projects continue to advance rapidly with the support of domestic experts.
