The Funeral of the Leader of the Nation: A Day of Trial for Awakened Souls

According to Sedaye Sama News, only a few hours remain before what lies ahead. Tomorrow, Monday, will not be merely a funeral procession; it will mark both “the collapse of a familiar world” and “the beginning of a renewed commitment.”
Tomorrow, our history will arrive at a moment that no one was prepared to face. We will carry on our shoulders not only an outstanding figure, but also a part of our “religious identity and national ideals.”
Tomorrow’s mourning is, in essence, mourning for the sense of stability that our martyred leader had provided during times of turbulence.
For many years, his vision and judgment served as the standard by which we distinguished right from wrong. Throughout those years, it seemed that our collective consciousness had become aligned with him. Even when we found ourselves caught between personal doubts and the harsh realities before us, it was his steadfast resolve that restored our sense of direction.
This attachment did not arise merely from habit, but from what the author describes as “the logic of observation.” We witnessed how, during the most critical moments, our martyred Imam chose to bear the burden of officials’ shortcomings himself rather than shift responsibility onto others.
His patience was remarkable. He understood the full extent of the losses, yet, in order to preserve the system as a whole and safeguard its ideals, he accepted criticism and continued forward even with imperfect means. This was a form of powerful endurance that, in the author’s view, has rarely been seen in contemporary history.
But why is attending tomorrow considered essential? Because this gathering is presented as “a declaration of steadfastness.” The purpose is not only to mourn the loss of a leader, but also to demonstrate that “recognizing the enemy” and “remaining firm in one’s principles” are not legacies that disappear with the passing of an individual.
Tomorrow, everyone who believes in the greatness of this land, the security of its borders, and the strength of this system should be present. Such participation is portrayed as a response to those who have anticipated division. Tomorrow is described as the day to affirm that the bond with the ideals of Islam and Iran is one of flesh and blood, not merely words or slogans.
Tomorrow is the day for the rightful owners of this homeland to stand together.
