160 Trillion Tomans in Rental Housing Loans Paid to Tenants Over the Past Five Years
According to Sedaye Sama News, based on data from Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, since the launch of the rental housing loan program in 2021, around 160 trillion tomans in rental assistance loans have been provided to more than 1.356 million tenant households.
Since mid-May this year, more than 31,500 rental housing loans worth approximately 7.7 trillion tomans have been disbursed to eligible applicants.
The total allocation for rental housing loans this year has increased by 50%, rising from 200 trillion tomans last year to 300 trillion tomans.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the maximum loan amount this year is 365 million tomans for Tehran, 280 million tomans for provincial capitals, 185 million tomans for other cities, and 75 million tomans for rural areas.
