Customs Facilitation Measures Under Emergency Conditions Extended

Faroud Asgari, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), announced that the customs facilitation measures introduced under emergency conditions have been extended until the end of September.
He said that, following an order issued by the First Vice President, the relevant decision has been communicated to customs supervisors and managers across the country. The government resolution extends the period of emergency conditions until the end of September this year. Accordingly, the provision of customs facilitation measures under emergency conditions will remain mandatory at all operational customs offices until that date.
Asgari emphasized that all traders and businesspeople can use these facilities, in accordance with the instructions issued to customs offices, to expedite and facilitate the clearance of their goods.
Under the Cabinet resolution, which was issued by the First Vice President for implementation by executive agencies, all deadlines stipulated in laws and regulations that were previously extended by the relevant authorities due to emergency conditions and in order to better manage issues arising from the Israeli-American aggression against Iran, and whose deadlines have expired or are due to expire, will be extended until the end of September 2026 (Shahrivar 1405).
